Laid Off Camp Phoenix is Back April 3!

Last August the Phoenix metro area had its first Laid Off Camp.  It was a great success, and we’re proud to announce the next Laid Off Camp scheduled for April 3, 2010 at the Chandler Senior Center in downtown Chandler.

Laid Off Camp Phoenix is an extension of a national effort to help people find work — full-time work, freelance work, volunteer work, or whatever’s next for them.  Like other Laid Off Camp events, is a locally-based, community-supported effort to offer resources and reassurance to job seekers.

A look back at the August 2009 LaidOffCamp in Gilbert

Chris Coneybeer wrote a great post about his LaidOffCamp experience.  Susan Baier, one of last year’s speakers and organizer of this year’s LaidOffCamp Phoenix, shares her thoughts about the experience here.  Susan also kept a Twitter list of many of the speakers and attendees.
